Sabancı University students organized their first-ever clubs fair this year to raise awareness about the climate crisis and forest fires. Initiated by the Sabancı University Search and Rescue Club (SUAK), the event brought together fifteen student clubs. Each booth reflected its own club spirit, featuring various activities such as tote bag painting, jewelry making, book exchange, flower sales, and food and beverage sales.
The proceeds from the event were used to donate a total of 1,476 saplings to the General Directorate of Forestry under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The saplings will be planted in the reforestation area of the forest that burned down in 2025 in the vicinity of Güzelyalı Village, Çanakkale. The students aim to make this fair, which emphasized solidarity and sustainability, a tradition in the coming years.
